Thanks to the Wedding Barbie exhibition, I took a walk along Clarke Quay with yy.
Have always wanted to walk along the Singapore River and take a look at the nice view around… Clarke Quay doesn’t look like Singapore, not at all. In contrary, it’s very much European style, lots of tourists walking around, and the famous boat tour.
The weather was great, breezy and cooling. The sun has already gone down, leaving half of the sky red. All buildings seem to have merged with the surrounding, including the orange street lamps light. Find it interesting to pretend as tourists. =) When we walked past the boat tour stand, realized lots of the things in Singapore I have no idea of or try before. Ended up we pretended as tourists and asked lots of questions about the boat tour. Haha…kind of fun.
Along the river, there are many restaurants, Italian, French, Spanish, Indian, Chinese… different types of food and with different themes like Jazz, party on cruise or even wedding. Most have very special interior design. Of course, you should not expect the price for a meal there not to be expensive. Certainly a few times would cause me bankrupt easily.
As the sky getting darker, I saw women standing outside some pubs and asking for “business”. In fact, my first in life seeing prostitutes and witnessing how they make their deal… not sure if that is legal in Singapore. Anyway, I have sidetracked...
Google online and just realised Clarke Quay has its own website: Clarke Quay
Here are a few photos taken on that day...
